Lecture 1: COVID-19: Critical Care Management

Dr. Carlos Alviar is the Director of NYU’s School of Medicine and the Cardiac ICU at Bellevue Hospital. He’s a published researcher and is currently a reviewer for multiple medical journals. Dr. Alviar has received multiple awards throughout his career and has been internationally recognized for his work with COVID-19 patients.

Lecture 2: Optimal Positioning for COVID-19: How to Manage Prone Therapy and Early Mobility

Dr. Thomas Ardiles, Pulmonary and critical care physician 

Dr. Ardiles Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona. As a Pulmonary and Critical Care Specialist, Dr. Ardiles has led Banner University Medical Center in its fight against COVID-19. He was recently interviewed by NBC Latino and honored as a Latino Hospital Hero.

Brouwer has over 15  years of nursing experience. She has devoted most of her career to critical care nursing as a bedside/SWAT nurse and as a Clinical Nurse Educator. As a consultant, Jennifer currently specializes on Prone therapy in critical care patients.
