Thank you so much to Kaiser Ontario for allowing our chapter to put on a Hands-Only (Compression-Only) CPR event for the community during their weekly market days. Chapter Members Amanda Wagner, Krista Flores, and Rachel McCaw had an amazing time teaching 52 participants how to save lives using compression-only CPR.

These opportunities are vital to our community. We have the ability to help prevent tragedies such as the one that happened to 12-year-old Elijah Jordan Brown-Garcia, of New Jersey, on February 10th. Young Elijah collapsed during a no-tackle football practice and no bystander CPR was provided. EMS arrived approximately 30-40 minutes after Elijah collapsed; however, he was not able to be resuscitated.

Please keep Elijah's memory alive by teaching Hands-Only CPR to anyone you know. And, if you would like to help make an impact as a volunteer at our next Hand-Only CPR event, please email the chapter at iecaacn@gmail.com with your contact information.
