Requirements to apply:

• Master’s degree in Nursing
• Active California RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• National certification in a cardiovascular specialty within 3 years of hire
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in cardiovascular nursing

This full-time day shift Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) position in a high-acuity cardiovascular services department is ideal for advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) with specialized experience in cardiac care, clinical education, and evidence-based practice. The role focuses on improving patient outcomes through advanced nursing leadership, staff training and mentorship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the implementation of quality improvement initiatives in acute cardiovascular settings.

Job Overview:

We’re seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) with advanced cardiovascular expertise to lead practice development, guide clinical initiatives, and improve patient outcomes within a Magnet-recognized nursing team. In this full-time day shift role, you’ll serve as a clinical leader, educator, consultant, and patient advocate. You will design and deliver formal education programs for nursing staff, foster multidisciplinary collaboration, and lead evidence-based practice change. This role is accountable for the clinical, quality, and financial outcomes of a defined cardiovascular patient population. Ideal candidates are skilled in change management, interprofessional collaboration, and fostering clinical excellence in acute care settings.
